Will the puppy have any shots, be de-dewormed or be vet checked?
Yes, the puppy will be checked by our vet, Dr. Danny Henry of Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Clinton, NC. It will receive a physical and have a fecal sample checked. The puppy will have at least one shot before leaving and also be dewormed on a regular basis until it leaves. Upon buying a puppy, you will receive confirmation of all procedures done by the vet and a shot record card. You will also receive a written statement from the vet confirming that he found no abnormalities or parasites.

Do I offer a warranty?
Although the puppy will already be checked by our vet prior to leaving, I also give you a 72 hour timeframe to have your vet to check the puppy too. This 72 hour warranty covers life threatening conditions or diseases. Any life threatening diseases or conditions, must be confirmed by a licensed vet within these 72 hours in order for the warranty to be fullfilled. This does not cover anything covered by accident or neglect. It also doesn't cover hernias, parvo or parasites. I don't give refunds, but you will get a credit of what you have paid toward the next available puppy of your choice, if your puppy is found to have a life threatening condition or disease or should happen to die before it is picked up. Warranties are not given on adult dogs.

Do I ship My Puppies?
No, I do not ship my puppies or deal with shipping companies. All sales are done face to face. I can arrange to meet you, at the Fayeytteville, NC airport, if you are planning to fly in to buy a puppy and are flying back with it.

Do I pre-name the puppies?
No, I allow the new owners to pick out their own names for their puppies. However, if it is a dog that I am retiring or one that didn't sell, it may already be named.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Do I micro-chip the puppies?
No, I leave that up to the new owners to put their own personal information into thier puppy if they choose to.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
At what age do I let the puppies leave?
Usually, Cairn Terriers or Scottish Terriers leave between six-eight weeks of age. Usually, I hold the Yorkshire Terriers until they are eight-ten weeks of age. In the event, that I feel like they need to wait an extra week or two, for the health of the puppy, then I will recommend that they stay longer.

What form of payments do I accept?
Due the the increasing number of bad checks, that I have received, I will no longer accept personal checks (except for a the deposit, if it has 14 days to clear). If you write a check for a deposit, the puppy will not be allowed to be picked up, for up to 14 days, to allow sufficient time for the check to clear the bank. If your check is bad, you will lose your chance at getting the puppy, if it is not made good within 3 days. I do try to be reasonable and work with people, however, if no attempt is made to made the check good, you will forfeit your puppy. I do accept certified checks, money orders and cash.

Any repeat customer, will receive a $100.00 discount, toward the second puppy (unless it is a dog/puppy, that I have already reduced). The second puppy can be purchased at the same time or later, to still receive this discount. This does not apply to already reduced puppies.

Are you required to pay taxes or get a license for your dog?
Each state and/or country has different guidelines on possession of animals. Please refer to the proper authorities, in your area, to find out the rules for your area. If you live in Cumberland County, NC, you are required to report, that you own a pet(s). Contact Cumberland County Animal Control to obtain a license for your animal. Also, there may be limits on the number of pets that you are allowed to own.

Do I have a waiting list for future puppies?
Prior to 02-01-2013, I have always added prospective buyers to my waiting list and tried to contact them when a puppy became available. However, I am no longer putting prospective buyers on a waiting list. It is too time consuming to call hundreds of people every month. It will now be on a "First come, First served", basis.
_____________________________________________________
Do I sell to pet stores or for research?
No, I don't. I don't want to expose my puppies, to being kept in a cage, with no socializing time. Also, it would be more prone to diseases, that it could come in contact with. I would never sell or donate a pet to a pet store or for research.
